Description:
A vulnerability has been identified in AN HTTPd, which can be exploited by malicious people to overwrite arbitrary files on a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to an input validation error in the sample script "count.pl". The problem is that the script doesn't check for "../" in the supplied argument, which can be exploited to overwrite the contents of a file on the system with numeric data by supplying the path to it as an argument.

An example, which overwrites "calc.exe", was included in the original advisory:
http://www.somesite.com/isapi/count.pl?../../../../../../../../../../windows/system32/calc.exe

The vulnerability has been reported in version 1.42h and prior.
