Description

A vulnerability has been reported in Linux-atm, which can be exploited by local, malicious users to escalate their privileges.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the utility "les". This can be exploited by supplying a long, specially crafted argument to the "-f" option when executing "les".

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code with "root" privileges.

The vulnerability has been reported in version 2.4.0.
