A vulnerability has been identified in EServ, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) on a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a memory leak in the connection routine, which can result in consumption of all available memory resources. This can be exploited by establishing many connections to EServ, which will leak between 8 and 32 KB for each established connection.

Reportedly, an average server can be crashed after about 50,000 connections, which will leak a total between 390.5 MB to 1.52 GB of memory.

An exploit has been released.
