Description:
A vulnerability has been identified in AirPort Base Station, which can be exploited by malicious people to gain knowledge of sensitive information.

The vulnerability is caused due to the use of a very weak XOR algorithm to "encrypt" authentication credentials, when they are transmitted over a network. A malicious person can therefore easily crack this and gain knowledge of a user's password.

Successful exploitation requires that the "encrypted" credentials can be sniffed, when an administrator logs in on the administrative interface (port 5009/tcp) via the network.
