Description: MandrakeSoft has issued updated packages for cdrecord. These fix three vulnerabilities allowing malicious, local users to gain root privileges.
The vulnerabilities are caused by format string errors in the setuid binary "cdrecord", which can be exploited to execute arbitrary code with "root" privileges.
