Description: A vulnerability has been identified in Palm OS, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).
The problem is that Palm OS can't handle a flood of ICMP echo requests, where the client doesn't wait for the reply. This causes Palm OS to crash and a hard reboot is necessary to restore operations. Unsaved work may be lost.
There is no report about whether this is limited to specific versions or all versions of the Palm OS.
