Description: A vulnerability has been identified in CUPS, which can be exploited by a malicious person on a LAN to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) on a vulnerable print server.
The problem is that the CUPS IPP (Internet Printing Protocol) implementation runs single-threaded. This can be exploited by making a partial request, which will not time out and therefore prevent printing from other system.
Successful exploitation requires that it is possible to connect to port 631/tcp.
