Description:
Red Hat has issued updated packages for ghostscript. These fix a vulnerability, which potentially could allow malicious people to compromise a user's system.

The vulnerability is caused by an error, which allows a malicious postscript file to execute arbitrary code on the system even with the option "-dSAFER" enabled. This could be exploited by a malicious person if a user was lured into opening a malicious postscript file.

NOTE: The vulnerability is not exploitable, if the option "-dPARANOIDSAFER" has been set. This is the default setting in Red Hat Linux.
