Description:
A vulnerability has been identified in Sun Solaris, which can be exploited by a malicious, local user to escalate privileges on a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in "/usr/lib/utmp_update". This can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow, which potentially allows execution of arbitrary code with "root" privileges.
