Description: A vulnerability has been reported in IRIX, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) on a vulnerable system.
The problem is that any user-space program is allowed to set a watch point using the "PIOCSWATCH" command via an "ioctl()" call. This can be exploited to cause a kernel panic by constructing a malicious program.
