Description:
Three different vulnerabilities have been identified in Snitz Forum 2000 allowing malicious people to circumvent authentication and conduct Cross Site Scripting attacks.

1) It is possible to conduct Cross Site Scripting using the search function:
/search.asp?Search="><script>evil_script</script>

2) The cookie used to verify authenticated users is the encrypted password. This is a weak way to verify authenticated users and could expose the users' passwords.

3) It is possible to reset the password for arbitrary accounts. By requesting the password to be reset, then saving the page and editing the member id and then submitting from the altered page, the password has been reset for that member id.

This has been reported to affect version 3.4.0.3
