Description: Rick Patel has reported a vulnerability in phpBB, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection attacks.
Input passed to the "topic_id" parameter in "viewtopic.php" isn't properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
An exploit has been released, which is able to enumerate the password hash for any user id.
Solution: Update to version 2.0.13 or later.
Provided and/or discovered by: Rick Patel
Changelog: 2005-03-11: Updated advisory.
