Description:
A vulnerability has been reported in PinkNet Web Server, which can be exploited by malicious people to gain access to arbitrary files on a web server.

The vulnerability is caused due to an input validation error. PinkNet Web Server does not filter the character sequence "./../" in a URL properly, which makes it possible for a malicious person to traverse out of the web root.

Example:
http://[victim]/./../existing_file

The vulnerability has been confirmed in both version 2.0.2 and 2.0.1. Prior versions may also be affected.
