Description:
Some vulnerabilities have been reported in HouseCall and Damage Cleanup Server (DCS), which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.

The vulnerabilities are caused due to a boundary errors in the HouseCall ActiveX control installed on client systems. These can be exploited to cause buffer overflows by supplying overly long, specially crafted string values in a <param> tag.

Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code, but requires that the user is tricked into visiting a malicious website.

The vulnerabilities affect the following products:
- HouseCall version 5.7 (English)
- HouseCall version 5.5 (English and Simplified Chinese)
- Damage Cleanup Server version 1.0 (English)
