Description: A vulnerability has been reported in WebShield 4.5 MR1a, which can be exploited to let certain files bypass the content filter.
Reportedly, it is possible to sneak an executable past the content filter even though it has been configured to remove these. The problem is that WebShield will not remove the executable if another virus infected file also has been attached to an email. When WebShield received the email, the virus infected file will be quarentined and the email will then be passed to the user with the executable still attached.
This could potentially be a serious issue if the executable eg. contained a new virus, which couldn't be detected by WebShield, and the user was tricked into executing it.
NOTE: If the executable contains a virus, which can be detected by WebShield, it will also be quarentined.
