Description

A vulnerability has been identified in BEA WebLogic Server and Express, which potentially can be exploited by malicious users to escalate their privileges on a vulnerable system.

According to the original advisory, certain code execution paths can cause the current user to be incorrect. This can be exploited to impersonate other users and gain their privileges on the system.

Reportedly, successful exploitation is difficult and requires in-depth knowledge of the application.

The vulnerability affects WebLogic Server and Express 7.0 Service Pack 3 (all platforms).
