Description:
A vulnerability has been identified in ScreenOS, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) on a vulnerable device.

The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the handling of packets contaning certain TCP Window sizes. This can be exploited by sending a packet containing a specific TCP Window size to either the telnet or WebUI (HTTP/HTTPS) management services, or the WebAuth (HTTP/HTTPS) authentication service, which causes the device to reboot.

The vulnerability affects NetScreen Firewall/VPN products running ScreenOS versions 4.0.1r1 through 4.0.1r6 and versions 4.0.3r1 and 4.0.3r2.
