Some vulnerabilities have been identified in IPNetMonitorX and IPNetSentryX, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to sniff network traffic and escalate their privileges.

The tools "Runtcpdump" and "RunTCPFlow" allow any user to monitor network traffic. A malicious user may therefore potentially gain knowledge of sensitive information transmitted over the network.

Furthermore, the tool "tcpflow" (executed by "RunTCPFlow") contains a format string vulnerability, which can be exploited by a malicious user to execute arbitrary code with escalated privileges, since "RunTCPFlow" is running suid "root".
