Description: zerash has reported a vulnerability in Meteor FTP, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).
The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the handling of arguments passed to the USER command and can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow by passing an overly long string and then perform certain actions.
Successful exploitation crashes the FTP service and may allow execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerability has been reported in version 1.5. Other versions may also be affected.
