Description

A vulnerability has been identified in Mercury Mail Transport System allowing malicious, local users to see usernames and passwords.

The problem is that usernames and passwords for the server are stored in clear text in "Mercury/MAIL/(username)/PASSWD.PM".


Solution
Do not allow untrusted users access to the system running Mercury Mail Transport System.
