Description:
SCO has confirmed some old vulnerabilities in metamail, which potentially can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.

The vulnerabilities are all caused due to boundary errors. These can be exploited to execute arbitrary code on a system with the privileges of user running metamail by sending specially crafted messages to the system.

Reportedly, the vulnerabilities affect UnixWare 7.1.3, UnixWare 7.1.2, UnixWare 7.1.1, and Open UNIX 8.0.0.
