Description

Two vulnerabilities have been identified in DB2 allowing malicious users to escalate their privileges.

The problem is that "db2dart" and "db2licm" doesn't handle long strings correctly allowing malicious users to cause a stack based overflow. This could be exploited to execute code with user "root" privileges by members of the groups "db2iadm1" and "db2asgrp".

IBM DB2 Universal Data Base v7.2 is vulnerable, other versions may also be vulnerable.
