Description

A vulnerability has been identified in Microsoft BizTalk Server 2000 and 2002 allowing malicious people to upload arbitrary documents.

The problem is that BizTalk is installed with insecure permissions on the web folders "BizTalkServerRepository" and "BizTalkServerDocs" giving everyone write access. This can be exploited to place malicious files on the system.


Solution
Microsoft recommends that you restrict write access using NTFS so that only specified user accounts can write files.
