Description:
Ingate has reported two vulnerabilities in Ingate Firewall and SIParator, which can be exploited to bypass the firewall and cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The firewall accepts packets with both the SYN and RST bits set when packet filtering for TCP is used. This can be exploited for OS fingerprinting and portscannings on otherwise protected systems.

It is furthermore possible to crash the firewall by sending specially crafted packets when "Dynamic FTP management" rules are used.
