Description: A vulnerability has been reported in Arkeia, which can be exploited by malicious people to gain system access.
The problem is that Arkeia fails to handle long, specially crafted packets sent to port 617/tcp. This can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow, which may allow execution of arbitrary code.
Exploit code has been released.
The vulnerability has been reported in version 5.1.12 and prior.
