Today this showed up in my Secunia scan as insecure, "This program was detected as Insecure, it is strongly recommended that you apply the latest security patch from the vendor of the program.

The version detected of Microsoft Internet Explorer 8.x was 8.0.6001.19019 while the latest version including one or more security fixes is .

As you can see there is no latest version listed above in the Secunia recommendation.

When I click on the uninstall link the uninstall window pops up but there's no indication as to where IE 8x is located to uninstall?

Unfortunately I have both the 32 bit and the 64 Bit versions installed, yet I really don't use either of them and would like to uninstall the 32 bit version but I can't find a way to do this, any suggestions?

@amazon13

Have you run your Windows update this week ?....IE8 was one of those things patched in the release. Some have been offered IE9 in the process.....but not if you are running XP.

Hope this helps.........

If you install any Internet Explorer version on a 64bit system, you always get both bitness flavours. It's generally advisable to use the 32bit version in any case.
