PCWorld: CSI integrates with Microsoft WSUS

12:10 CET, 1st September 2011 By Secunia.

Jeremy Kirk interviews Secunia’s CSO, Thomas Kristensen about the new Secunia Corporate Software Inspector (CSI) 5.0 in the PCWorld article, “Secunia's Patching Tool Integrated With Microsoft's WSUS”. They discuss how the Secunia CSI 5.0 simplifies patch management and makes it a seamless and straightforward process.

Kirk says, “The problem is that the vendors all use different update mechanisms, meaning some applications may not get updated and could be exploited by hackers. Secunia CSI, however, will download updates from vendors when technically possible and automatically install them on individual machines. A free consumer version of the product, called the Personal Software Inspector (PSI) 2.0, also has the same functions.”

Additional features of the new Secunia CSI 5.0, including Apple Mac OS X scanning, are also discussed.
