I try to use the download solutions and Secunia PSI insists on opening downloads in IE which I am REALLY trying get rid of. How do I get them in Firefox? Also I cannot view Program Overview or Historic Development without IE Flash Player? Help me get rid of the MS leech. |

Secunia PSI uses IE as its program interface... basically there isnt a way around it... :/ |

Do you have FireFox set as your default browser? I just clicked on Download solution and it opened in FF. Go to Tools/Options/Advanced, select the general tab and check "Always Check To See If FireFox Is My Default Browser"
It should open in FF after that.

There are a few links that NEED to open in IE, for example when you have to update your Flash Player (ActiveX) plugin and Microsoft patches that require you to download them via Windows/Microsoft Update.
Besides those the psi always honors your "default" browser selection.

Chrome is my default browser, but PSI opens links with Firefox?!

This needs to be changed to use the default browser and not hang up on IE when it needs to be updated. If it weren't for updates I would remove IE. |

your lucky IE wont work on my computer at all I keep downloading the newest version but it gets to the IE open page and just stops wont connect to the internet or anything been this way for over a year I'm not a newby I have been mucking about with computers for thirty years now. I think there is a file missing from my xp installation disk cos its never worked since this computer was put together.got me beat...
