Hi!
Secunia PSI recognizes my installation of Ashampoo Burning Studio 7 as version 7.0.0.1, but when I open Burning Studio and click the "about"-button it tells me it is version 7.3. Why is that?

Are U using the advanced mode? This should highlight the path where the insecure file(s) is.

Yes. I checked the exe-file of the program. It also says 7.0.0.1, but if I open the program and click "about" it says 7.30. It also says 7.30 in the windows control panel. So which one is the right version number? |

What path did secunia advanced give U to find 7.0.0.1?
How many copies of Ashampoo are in add/remove?

It appears only once. The path is "C:\Program Files\Ashampoo\Ashampoo Burning Studio 7\burningstudio.exe" |

In the advanced mode there is an option to OPEN FOLDER - somewhere in that folder is the offending exe file. Are the 2 exe files in the folder?
Is the solution Wizard active to use that?

Both no. Only that one exe-file and no solution wizard. |

Very odd. I would raise this with Scunia Support. You will find Emil very helpful.
Not sure I can help any further but I hope you find a suitable fix
