Hi, I have a problem with this (and other MS Office) Programs...all the same problem.
I can't install the update PSI suggests ie KB 953404
When I run the installer it says that it can't find the version on my computer but not only for this but also others which are (Excel 2003, PowerPoint Viewer 2003, Publisher 2003, Outlook 2003, Powerpoint 2003, Windows Sp Pro, Word 2003 and XML Core Services (MSXML) 6.x)
What can I do?
Computer Specs:
Windows XP Pro Sp2, Pent 4 3Ghz, RAM 512MB
Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SYSTEM OS IS IN ITALIAN!!!
and YES I did change the language for KB953404 to Italian before downloading

OK problem resolved....
Here's how to resolve the problem of being unable to install the MS Office updates that PSI suggests......
First you must download and install KB923618 for Office 2003.....It is Service Pack 3. The problem is that PSI doesn't tell you that you need MS Office 2003 SP3 Installed to use these updates!!!
After installing......re-boot (you'll be asked to anyway)
Now install the updates as normal.....after the last....re-boot and scan with PSI again....
Infact while installing the updates you will see most go from the insecure list!!!
I hope this helps others....let me know if so....THANKS

nice suggestion, but SP3 is already installed on my system.
So that solution doesn't work for me.

Sorry if there is a mis-understanding....
When I say about SP3 I don't mean the SP3 for Windows XP but for MS Office 2003
Anyway, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Happy new year to you too!
There is no misunderstanding, I meant SP3 for Office 2003 too.
SP3 for Windows XP is installed although.
Both didnīt solve the problem.
Best regards,
