I did a chckdsk and tuneup utilities... same

I've seen uninstalling uses some FUNKY apps running in the background...(what are those apps?)
What are all the registry settings so I may check and delete them manually if any found?

@uzoc2005

psi usually cleans up after itself....dare I write, immaculately. I often have a check thro' the Registry, but have never found anything untoward. Others may have more info.
It "sounds" as if you've recently updated psi to 2.0.0.3003 ?

I refuse to be drawn into the slightst mention of Optimizers : hoping to keep the friends I've made thusfar....tho' aware of my continuing use of same !!!

Reagards,

Yes, it was working fine before (didn't use it for a long time, though).
Oh, well!

What are the ip's it needs to connect?
What are the registry settings to check & delete? (after uninstall, of course)
What are those FUNKY apps that run in the background? (when uninstalling)

Have you got access to the Memory Diagnostics Tool as in Vista ? If so, it will run two test passes, and Report in Problems Reports and Solutions.
I remember long ago when I first used CHKDSK.....all "results" didn't become evident immediately......for days it seemed to be setting things in order.
I can't remember exactly when I last had a freezing issue.

1. Are you sure it isn't malware since it was working and then stopped? Do a deep scan.

2. Also, from your reply I see you edit registry manually, so I would advise registry scan with a relevant registry checker, to scan for errors/issues.

3. Sometimes misbehaving PSI was disciplined by deleting registry key
HKCU\Software\Secunia\PSI\UserID

But do this with caution, you are advised to make a registry backup with a relevant tool. And yes, this will erase your PSI history.

Rgds,
Marv

Tried all the steps, same...
Deleted "secunia" from the registry, also...

What happens is:
The screen beeps once when it starts and shows the logo (in the middle)...
After a minute the tray shows the results: 96% system score.
Clicking on the tray icon, brings the same main screen with the logo.

If the main program screen shows that, then it's a connection issue, correct?
What are the ip's and/or http address(es) that Secunia uses so I may test the connection issue?

It's not my firewall but it might be something else...

I gave U the Secunia link which U have told the Secunia Official works using IE.

Can U publish a screenshot of where it stalls?

POSTING A SCREEN SHOT TO THE FORUM

To post a screen shot to the Forum U need to:

1. Capture the image by using a programme such as:
a. Microsoft Paint - details here:How To Take A Screenshot:
http://www.wikihow.com/Take-a-Screenshot-in-Micros...
b. Microsoft One Note
c. Microsoft Snippet (Windows 7 & Vista)
d. Any third party equivalent programme.

2. Save the image to an online repository such as Microsoft Skydrive or Office Online or here: http://imageshack.us/

3. Post the hyperlink to the stored online image to the Forum.

1. Thank you. Are U absolutely sure your default browser is set up correctly in the registry as per the FAQ?

2. I note U have tried all the options in the FAQ - have U tried to reset all IE options to default?
