@ukla

Hello.
Have you checked that you don't have psi Tray disabled in Start up/CCleaner/Revo etc ?

As you are able to install.....it would seem that only when you restart, the Tray icon isn't.
It suggests possibly, that it is disabled at Startup somewhere. Progs such as Revo and CCleaner have panels whereby startup progs can be enabled/disabled. I won't go into too much detail as I use Vista.....I'm not too familiar with XP....
The other thing you could check is that you have psi configured as you want. In psi go to Configuration ( left on the Dashboard )....then click on Settings.....check thro' the list.
Also in Learn More (below Configuration)...there is a Secunia manual.

You may also find the FAQ's worth bookmarking/reading thro', if you havn't already done so :-

Hope the foregoing is of some help.......regards,

Have U checked these items?

1. On the keyboard press CTRL+ALT+DEL (Delete) at the same time. This will bring up the Task Manager.

Click Processes> can U see psi_tray.exe running?

2. Open PSI>Dashboard>Configuration>settings>PSI Settings>are there ticks (check marks) in the boxes to the left of Start the Secunia PSI at Boot & Enable Program monitoring? If not enable them.

3. Click Start>Run>in the box type MISCONFIG>a box will appear>click the START UP tab>there is a box to the left of each item>have the items that refer to PSI or Secunia got a tick (check mark) in the box? If not click the box to activate,click Apply & exit.

U could find that all the above items are in order which is good news.

Now recreate the error if U can by rebooting. If the error occurs go to Start>All Programs>click Secunia PSI - does that activate the tray icon?
