I used to run Secunia PSI without problems. Then it started to display only the PSI logo. Uninstalling and reinstalling PSI always displays merely a dead logo.

[This web form does not display screen images, so I cannot show them.

This PSI logo is “dead”. How may I run Secunia PSI?

Once a week PSI hogs my cpu and runs, giving me a 90% rating [displayed in a Windows [?] icon near the task bar. But this does not allow me to correct any of the obsolete applications.

Win XP SP3.

I would appreciate your help.

Hello.
Can you determine what version of psi you have installed ?....Right click on the logo and then About.....the latest version is 2.0.0.3003
Check thro' the Settings here :-

Particularly note those towards the end of the section that pertain to XP
If you need to re-install, let it remove the previous version.....psi does a good job of clearing up after itself.
Hope this helps.....come back with as much info as possible...if needs be. I use Vista but there are a few XP users on the forum with a wealth of experience......regards,
