is this means that it may be not adobe air from the first place ?

how do i double check that this is actually adobe and not a spy software.?

p.s. i'm experiencing a slow boot and a slightly slow machine also i noticed that my (hard disk light) or the 2nd light of the three ones which can be found on any laptop is flashing rapidly after boot ups then slows down after 15 mins. is this normal?

scanned the whole system in both avira antivirus and malwarebytes anti-malware
and no detection was found.

windows 7 home premium sp1 x64 (fully upgraded).

thanks

None of the computers I've checked have the Adobe Air icon showing in the scan results.

To check for a genuine Adobe product, go to the Adobe Air folder in
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adode Air\Versions\1.0, right click on the applications and extensions and check the digital signatures.

It is normal for the hard disk light to flash for several minutes after a boot. Reasons for this include:
Restore point being created
Checking Windows Updates
Checking for Antivirus updates and installing definition updates
Frequently used applications being preloaded into memory to speed up their loading when you subsequently open them.

You can reduce this by using Hibernate or Hybrid Sleep instead of Shutdown when possible.

P.S.

Adode Air 3.0 and FlashPlayer 11.0 are now available
http://get.adobe.com/air/
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Remember to uncheck the box for the free Google Toolbar etc.

Hi ,

Just to confirm that my Adobe Air has no icon , neither do several other programmes displayed by the PSI . This does not bother me and has never been seen (by me) to be linked to Programme bugs or malware .

I understand your concern , but an AntiVir and MBAM scan should mean that your Programme files and folders are not infected .

Take care

Anthony

Hi,

if you run a full scan, the PSI should hopefully fetch the icons.

However, and absense of the icons should not indicate any serious problems.

hope this helps.

i was just worried that i may have infection or something . (spyware phobia)
:D

as for the adobe flash player i always make sure to update it as soon as psi states that,

but adobe air i guess it was updated recently and psi states it's up to date and secure.

correct me if i was wrong.

Your screenshot shows patched versions of FlashPlayer 10.3 and Air 2.7.
These are secure but FlashPlayer 11.0 and Air 3.0 are now available for download from the Adobe website.
