When I try to run this update, I get an error message "This installation package could not be opened. Contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package." Please advise. I'm running Vista 36 bit.and this is the download that Secunia gave me. Thank you. |

I uninstalled the current version using Revouninstaller, then cleaned up the registry using CCleaner, then opened PSI, installed the solution and worked fine. Ran a rescan and all is good. :-) Hope this helps. | ||||||||

| Hi, Do you have any prior version of Java installed? Do you get the same error if you delete it, reboot, and try again? |

I had similar persisting error with Win XP 64 bit. Did you try to download using different downloader like wget? Then updates and patches installed, it worked for me well. Secunia is requesting an update for Sun Java 1.6.x/6.x. It won't update because Sun Java is not in my control panel. Why is this happening? Thank you. jitterbug |
