Hello! Have alot of Headache with the Shockwave-Version above. * Install Solution doesn't bring anything; * To use the uninstal - Links from previous Threads doesn't work too; ---START--- Program Name: Adobe Shockwave Player 10.x Security State: End-of-Life Download Link: http://dl.secunia.com/sw_lic_full_installer.msi Instances Found: C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Shockwave 10\SwInit.exe, version: 10.4.1.34 Last System Scan (localtime): 8. Nov 2011, 12:30 Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP Professional, ---END--- For a short moment, I THOUGHT it were deleted; but now it is back again. As I checked c:\windows\system32\macromed\ there wasn't a folder Shockwave 10, for sure! But now (after installing the 11.th version) it is still back again. Is there any issue, that the later Software installed itself in the wrong folder (Shockwave 10)? -But then, where the wrong (old) version is comming from again and aigain? The next step, I'll delete it completly and shutdown; after this I check the registry and install completly new (not with the PSI - Link). Andrč |

Did you try to uninstall from Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel? Then download Shockwave_Installer_Slim.exe from Adobe site. Current version reported by PSI 2.0 is 11.6.1.629. Shockwave installer can be downloaded i.e. c:\ wget -N http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/shockwave/def... or visit http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/ 11.6.3.633 is at the time of writing the latest installer, but PSI reports 11.6.1.629 as "patched", so IMHO it was probably not a security update. Additionally, you might want to do a full scan instead of re-scan application. I still did not get security that I addressed your specific problem, but there is just no ghost in Shockwave_installer_Slim.exe, you can narrow the gay through which this awkward version returns. -- "If a task is worth doing, it is worth doing right. Just for correctness sake, the Adobe Shockwave Slim 11.6.3.633 update turned out to be security update, there was a delay in Secunia updating security scan rules. This morning the truth was revealed.
