Hi , Since today (CET) , in both Firefox 8 and Chrome 17.0.932.0 (dev) I do not have the bottom of the screen slider available when using any % zoom . Nothing obvious accounts for this state of affairs . Firefox gives me two rhs sliders (when [+] zooming) - the outer one is fixed (blue from top to bottom) the inner one is normal and works . Chrome has just the one one rhs slider working correctly . Any [+] zoom and the rhs of this Secunia webpage page is off to the Orient and invisible to me (and yes it is the only website presently affected) . The default situation makes reading the website extremely tedious and tiring for peering eyes . Anyone else "seeing" this problem ?? This is the only thread I shall monitor untill the problem is resolved . Sdit : No sliders at all in IE 8 , even at [-] zoom ; other websites normal . While I do not vote , not given the number of votes to be selected on mouseover of the icon . Take care Anthony -- It always seems impossible until its done. Nelson Mandela |

Evening Anthony !! Same observations as your's Anthony.....concerning both Chrome 17's. As regards IE9 version.....no bottom slide bar....rh scroll bar allows minimal movement....in All Threads eg., top two threads "New" is visible in red...and the rest of that part of the visible page is greyed out. I was hoping to get thro' another year before renewing my spectacles !!! -- |

Thanks for your info , Mogs ; had not checked the bird . Seems like Maurice is the only one reporting without the problem . Will check back tomorrow . Changing your spec's spec probably won't help that much - did mine a few months ago - unless you get a giant magnifying glass/telescope grafted on the end of your nose ; probably not so convenient for other occasions :((( Catch you later . Anthony, To be clear I have not got the current problem that is being reported. Issues still remain from the time marketing declared they had revamped the site weeks ago & created a masterpiece! I still require to use the keyboard zoom facility to see objects when logging on & using my Handling Contributor facility. I have just remotely fixed a PC which uses IE8 - I have nothing like what I saw & U describe - totally unworkable. -- Maurice Windows 7 SP1 64 Bit OS HP Intel Pentium i7 IE 10 for Windows 7 16GB RAM |

Evening Anthony & mogs Using Ff v3.6.24 & No Squint get same results as you Anthony. 2 rhs sliders & no bottom slider, & this is the only website where this phenomenon(?) occurs. Using No Squint if I reset Full Zoom to 95% or less I get rid of the 'blue' slider & the remaining slider works as expected but still no bottom slider. Ff & IE8 are the only browsers I have installed-haven't tried IE8 as I never use it except for Windoze updates so can't say about it's behavior. Also when mousing over vote selection I don't get a score selection, just relevant or irelevant choice. Yes I know irelevant is misspelled but that's what's shown. My guess is that maybe Secunia is 'playing' with the new & improved website. Going to go vote 'relevant' on mogs post to see if it registers any score. Thank you for your clarification , Maurice . Looks like the graffiti artists are back at work on their masterpiece - everything has it's place :) Thanks for your confirmation , OGSO . I have 95% full Zoom and 175% text zoom with No Squint on Ff 8.0 and get the same result as you ; this gives me a most acceptable result "reading" wise . Still no voting - maybe the only +ve aspect of this snafu ;)) but they'll probably change that back :(( Chrome remains annoyingly messy and IE8 unworkable . EDIT: 1)the bottom slider has returned in Chrome 17.x (dev) so is less messy ; of course default text is too small and no text zoom means the slider makes everthing available/visible if "clunky) management , so no improvement there . Have not checked IE , Ff unchanged . 2) IE8 has bottom and rhs sliders working now . Other navigation problems :eg: header tabs over the reply box remain as needing to be addressed . Take care Anthony -- It always seems impossible until its done. Nelson Mandela |

Horizontal screen slider gone again. This morning the Forum looked normal again in a web-browser. Right now there isn't a horizontal screen slider any-more. Using a 3:4 screen horizontal scrolling is often needed. Using a wide-screen & zooming horizontal scrolling is needed too. Reproducible with: Firefox 8.0, Opera 11.52, Internet Explorer 8. Windows XP-home, SP-3. Websafe. |
