There is no slider bar! I have rebooted twice but still no slider bar.

Surely it's not just me again, is it?!!!

Hi ,

Assuming we are referring to this website and not the PSI's GUI then I get no sliders at all :ie: bottom and rhs in IE 8 at default 100% nor +/- : other sites not affected (have added this info to my thread on the subject) ..

In the actual PSI GUI only scan results page has/needs a rhs slider and it works correctly .

Take care

Anthony

I've got two right hand scroll bars on IE9 and Firefox 8. Zooming to 75% gets rid of one.

The Firefox Error Console shows a few warnings. For example, line 838 of secunia.css has , instead of ; after width.

You are absolutely not the only victim! I have the same on my machine and tested the situation on a win 7 machine, which has the same problem. We'll have to wait till somebdy

I now believe in Father Christmas. It could only have been him who kindly returned my missing slider (on the right-hand side of the screen). Or was it you Mogs (via your Canary's platform?)

Sorry @Anthony - because I couldn't page down, I had no idea that you had already reported this theft under http://secunia.com/community/forum/thread/show/117...

But you now report that someone has pinched your bottom sliders (did I really say that?).

I've never had bottom sliders (nor zoom in facility) so are they only available to browsers other than IE8 or systems other than XP?

Not a problem , taffy , my body is untramelled ..

Just like everyone else you have a zoom facility in IE 8 ; look to the very top left of your browser where there is a list of "tabs" such as File , Edit , Tools , etc. , one of these is labelled something like "View" (Affichage on my French sysyem) , whatever , click on it and you will see Zoom , in the drop down menu , which can be actioned by mouse click or a key combo .

Take care

Hi all

Anthony, I don't recall ever having a bottom 'slider' on this website in Ff. Rhs 'slider'
is back & operable, so is voting process-btw only 1 slider on rhs. Yay.

I have cataracts but not yet to the point
of removal so my No Squint settings are quite
'high'. Full zoom 105% & Text zoom 195%.
While checking things out here yesterday
(Nov. 10), I turned NO Squint off & this website
appeared as a tiny white blob on comp screen.

End of my 'report'.

Hope everyone has a very enjoyable weekend.

Regards, wr

Zooming made easy - Works with IE/Firefox & Google (& others I suspect)

Increase zoom (+ 10% each press) - CTRL then press +

Decrease zoom (-10%) - CTRL then press -

Original size (100% zoom)* - CTRL then press 0

Hi there wr :))

If you use much more full zoom , you will start to lose the right side of the window and you could (not at the moment) then see/use the bottom slider .

My cataracts are not yet apparent and my ARMD is nicely held static , so I'm good with No Squint at (now) 95%/170% which gives me good font size and is really black . Similar results at 100/175% .

As you say , OGSO , just the one rhs slider and cursed voting is back ; anybody for a nice -10?? :)))

Thanks for the key details , Maurice , both Ff and Chrome have add-ons which give finer control and stay (pre)set on the website ; NoSquint on Ff is exceptional for anyone with a visual handicap .

"At the going down of the sun and in the morning. We will remember them."

Take care and sleep well .

@Anthony/Maurice. Thanks for the tip. I'm now at 128% by going to 'custom' in the bottorm right corner, above the date. That's perfect for me.

@wr. I too had cataracts - I had them removed above five years ago. I elected to have local anaesthetic which meant I was there for three hours rather than overnight. This saved the hospital a great deal of money and they "rewarded" me by implanting plastic lens to my prescription, which meant I no longer had the huge cost (£200-£300) of specs with High Index glass.

@Anthony. A very suitable PS.
