Firefox 9 is out. It's shown in Scan Results but not in Secure Browsing!

Thanks Klaus

When I saw this, I checked my version on PSI. It was v.7 so I opened the program.

It immediately started an update to v.9.0 but then when I went to the home page it said that the version was out of date and for security reasons I should update to the "latest & greatest" version. Strange!

So I updated it again and I now have v.9.0.1 according to Firefox.

I scanned and PSI shows it as v.9.0.1.4371, patched and OK.

Which version of PSI are you using? I recall that Secure Browsing was on one of the older versions. I'm using v2.0.0.4003 and it's not shown there.

@taffy

Morning !
Can't help you with FF recognition......but psi 2.0.0.4003 does have a "limited" Secure Browsing feature/page. Maurice warned before downloading some time ago that it was buggy.
In my case it's not too important as neither of my Chrome browsers is monitored by psi anyrate.....but IE9 is....tho' limited detail 'bout plug-ins etc...appears.

. . . . and a good morning to you, too, young Mogs!!

Can you remember where the Secure Browsing page is?

Please don't say it's in the PSI manual as I can't open that!!!

Only Secunia Support can answer the originators question as it appears to affect the database results which they alone control.

Either they have changed the design feature in version 2.0.0.4003 or it is buggy & always has been since release.

Provided version Firefox 9 is showing patched in the Scan Results everything is OK as far as a user is concerned.

The Secure Browsing feature is for an advanced users only & I would not think it is top of the Secunia fix list (if indeed it requires fixing) because advanced users should be able to fend for themselves.

The User Manual is here:

http://secunia.com/gfx/pdf/Secunia%20PSI%202.0%20-...

Provided U have a PDF reader it works perfectly.

It is a User Manual & will not answer the originators question unless he/she has not got the Secure Browser setting activated in PSI settings which does not appear to be the case.

Thank you Maurice for your comments.

Once I find out why I can't access the PSI manual - per my link above - I'll be a happy man!

Hi All,

when I opened this thread yesterday I was using PSI 2.0.4003. After updating ff to 9.0.0 there was no ff shown in Sercure Browsing.

Today I updated to ff 9.0.1 . AND: ff is shown in Secure Browsing now ! Everything is ok now.

Thanks Klaus.
