I have noticed that Secunia has downloaded and installed the UK version of Firefox for the previous few versions of Firefox, even though I am in the US. Downloading and installing the US version myself corrects it, but just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. It was quickly apparent each time when I went to use the google search bar (which lists some search engine options such as Amazon as UK-and resutled in UK results). |

However, on my partner's old XP laptop, we're still running FF 3.6. Updates for that old release aren't always easy to find on Mozilla's website, especialy lately. So several months ago, I decided to save myself some trouble by letting PSI find and install the update for me. However, after PSI had finished the update, I was quite surprised to discover that we were running the UK version, not the US version. Yet another reason to prefer manual updates. -- EstherD |

Thanks, Esther. This is the only program I've had a problem with with auto-update--I do have them ask me, so next time will simply go and fetch Firefox updates myself. | ||||||||
