Noticed that you had an advisory regarding Trustware's BufferZone (earlier versions) in regards to problems with BSODs relating to redlight.sys. Having downloaded V4.01 (their latest version) I have been hit with 2 BSODs in quick succession. Redlight.sys is the offending driver. I have notified their support and sent them dumps. It looks as though you are going to have to update your advisory to include this new version. It appears that they have been unable to resolve it. Unfortunately, even though this is a very effective and useful application (and freeware at that), I can not use a program that BSODs at random and is associated with a security issue. -- MJ |
