Hello.

Have you uninstalled/installed psi recently ? If so, did you carry out a conventional uninstall....let it remove the previous version.....or did you perhaps do it manually...clear the registry yourself; so on and so forth; before re-installing ?
What is your OS?
Have you verified/checked that your settings/configurations are as per the FAQ's here :-
http://secunia.com/products/consumer/psi/faq/#s3
Particularly note the latter paragraphs if using XP.

Followed all the instructions. Verified that the psi.exe certificates were properly stored on the system. Still didn't work. Rebooted. ALMOST got through the scan but aborted after 10 minutes. Pulled up the text log and noticed that my Kaspersky I.S. 2012 may be the culprit. Temporarily paused protection. Again began the Secunia scan.....SUCCESS! The first time in two weeks. Began after a series of Microsoft updates. This may be helpful to others.
