I just encountered a strange problem. On the login page I tried using the ID/password I stored and encountered the reply "wrong username or password." I tried again, using my email address and password with the same result. I returned to the forum page and discovered that I was logged in and authorized to make this post.

I do not know which approach worked. I went back to the forum page to look for more information about lost password, etc, and that is when I saw I was logged in.

I am running under Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 (build 2600)

I browse with SeaMonkey 1.1.14 (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.19) Gecko/20081204 SeaMonkey/1.1.14) This is functionally equivalent to the latest version of FireFox.

Moderator, can you explain this problem?

Thanks,

baumgrenze

There are many of us with this problem. I have reported it to Secunia support. Still awaiting a reply which I will post here.

I have received a reply from Secunia. It appears they have a fairly lengthy list of of general improvements in the pipeline so it looks like "watch this space..."
