This isn't a big deal, I just excluded the folder from the scan because I always restart Chrome whenever it shows that there's an update. It might cause confusion for others though.

Your post still causes me a little confusion, even tho' I usually remove the previous version after updating and before scanning.
The version being offered you seems to be 17.0.963.56 whereas the current Stable version is 17.0.963.79 as from 10/3/12........what version are you at present using ?

Edit..........just noticed at the foot of your post !!!!

Chrome Stable Update
Wednesday, February 15, 2012 | 12:00
Labels: Stable updates
The Chrome Stable channel has been updated to 17.0.963.56 on Windows, Mac, Linux and Chrome Frame. This release fixes a number of stability and security issues in Chrome, and also includes a new version of Flash. More info on the Flash update is available from Adobe.

Is there any particular reason why you were still holding onto the Chrome 16 psi detected ? Don't you normally remove the previous if vulnerable ?
