Having been told by Secunia that my Sun Java needed updating I followed the instructions but the next time |I logged on the same program was listed as needing updating. There was no difference after the update was applied. There are three listings for the same Java program. How can this be? majfran7 |

| Welcome majfran7 This has been reported several times before as it is a common problem with Sun Java. Go to Add/Remove Programs and un-install all installed versions of Sun Java then reboot to let locked files be removed. Go to Sun Java update page and install Version 6 Update 11: http://java.com/en/download/index.jsp Download JavaRa zip file then unpack it then run it and let it find any Sun Java remnants: http://raproducts.org |

Hello YoKenny, Many thanks for taking the time to respond to my query. As a point of interest the scan revealed duplicate entries for Adobe Reader (Old versions) , Quick time and old versions of Firefox. Should I just remove them or do they contain data which I may want? Regards Majfran7 |

To YoKenny, I have just seen the solutions listed for others in my situation. Sorry I did not delve before I replied earlier. Will try the suggestions and get back to you. majfran7 |
