Previous comment today is not locked. After receiving a report showing LibreOffice 3.4.x not secure because soffice.exe was the wrong version. I chose to have Secunia PSI install the solution, i.e, v 3.5.1. PSI still reported the same results. Long story short, I looked today and discovered that the 3.5.1 install either did not install correctly. The installs (I tried several times to correct the error with 3.4.6) reported a successful install. I looked today and Control Panel/Programs and Features was only showing LibreOffice 3.4 installed. Looked in Program Files and only found 3.4 folders. Used Programs and Features to uninstall LibreOffice, deleted the residual folders in Program Files. Reinstalled Libre 3.5.1 and all is fixed. Forgot to mention, I rescanned my system per the suggestions in the threads on this subject. No change in the reports--soffice.exe still a risk. So I did the above. |
