Well, clearly, the UI has been simplified. Maybe a little too much by the way... For people who are not computer savvy as others are, I can understand that a simplified version of the UI would be welcome. Simple as "set it and forget it", runs in the background, does everything properly without interaction, etc... But then I really think that to keep a detailed version of the UI, with all the details we had in 2.0 and earlier (access to the advisory bulletin, link to the maker of the software, versions differences, Manual updates, etc... ) is absolutely necessary. Hide it in a menu if you will, but please keep it available ! For that very reason, I've almost immediately gone back to 2.0 Another comment : I've got old software on my computer, that 2.0 was detecting as "end of life", but 3.0 asks to contact support via e-mail (e-mail ? really ? that secure ?) or insists on wanting to update it (Old version of lotus notes that can't be updated without changing our entire e;ail setup). And there is no option to manually remove software from the list to keep PSI working on the softs we want automatically updated So 3.0 is probably better in a lot of ways, but because of these reasons I'll stock to 2.0 for the moment. Give us the detailed view back, and I'll give it a try. P.S. Oh, and the UI of 3.0 is using up memory like no others.... Win 7 64 : intel i5 : 2GBmem |

Sadly, genuine submissions created on this Forum are getting "lost" amongst the sustained spammer attack posts being created. I have grouped this post & others where Forum members have open questions & comments which should make it easier for Forum readers & helpers to navigate. -- Maurice Windows 7 SP1 64 Bit OS HP Intel Pentium i7 IE 10 for Windows 7 SP1 16GB RAM |
