I have a persistent instance of Adobe Flash Player 10.x (NPAPI) that shows up as an Insecure Program with every scan - the newer Flash version is there and ok - and I've tried downloading to desktop the Adobe Flash Uninstaller as recommended in another thread, to no avail. I've run it in Safe Mode with the same result. The only thing I haven't tried is a system restore, but I want to exhaust all uninstall options before that. What concerns me is that this may be some kind of malware. Has anyone else come up against this problem with a program of this name? Is there any history to suggest this is some kind of Spoofing malware that's masquerading as Adobe Flash? Any suggestions as to how to get rid of it? |
