I never use Microsoft Frontpage 2000 and want to remove it but can't find it in the ADD/REMOVE Programs. I use Windows XP.

Can I just delete it in Explorer or will this screw up my registry?

I keep getting a blue screen of death but do not know why so am clearing all the programs I do not use. Is this wise?

Post "RE: Program removal" has been selected as an answer.

Have U looked in the Software section of the Registry?

The path to the program in Explorer is program files/microsoft frontpage/version 3.0/bin/ .
In my Secunia scan it refers to Microsoft Frontpage 2000 which I guess refers to my Office 2000 source I now use Office 2003.
I haven't looked in the registry as I am not confident enough to make changes without full instructions.

To be absolutely sure can U please publish the file path Secunia gives U?

Jeff,
That programme is only End of Life & has no outstanding vulnerabilities as can be seen here:

http://secunia.com/advisories/product/27/

If U no longer need or use it then it can be removed as U suggested:

DELETING A FILE OR FOLDER USING PSI VERSION 2

1. Open PSI>Scan results.

2. Against the programme marked as vulnerable/End of Life is a + sign to the left of it.

3. Click that & it will reveal DETECTED INSTANCES.

4. Below that are two yellow folders. Click the one WITHOUT a red dot.

5. That will open Windows Explorer & U will be able to see the vulnerable file.
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\FRONTPG.EXE, version: 4.0.2.2717

6. Right click on that file & select delete.

7. Carry out a full PSI scan & all should be in order.

8. In case U change your mind do not purge the Recycle Bin for a few days from where it can easily be restored.

Update 13 23:04 19/04/2012

Thanks for that instruction, I have now been able to clear that unwanted program.
As I said I have been trying to eliminate all the programs that either are out of date or may be dangerous as my PC keeps crashing. Usually about once a day I get the 'blue screen of death'. I haven't a clue what is the cause but I suspect that it followed my poor attempts to get rid of RealTime player that was added to my PC as part of a package without my agreement. (Wrong box ticked I guess).
Thanks again for all you support.
Jeff
