Having been using PSI since V1, while the addition of automatic update of out-of-date programs is useful and without it many systems would not be updated, not everyone wants this level of automation.

Appreciate the almost singular option of being able to disable automatic updates, but the program still downloads available updates without any way to disable. Checked the registry and configuration files, there are almost zero configuration options, please add an option to disable any automatic actions other than scanning for out-of-date programs.

I was also hoping the start up of the control panel would have been sped up and simplified. Last night the server must have been down and PSI (either V2 or V3) would not start. When I see the icon change from green, what I really want to know is what is out-of-date. It would be nice to be able to hover over the icon to get a list or at least the option of opening this list without having to grin-and-bear the slow open of the control panel.

Lastly, I have to agree with previous posters, the move to icons is ok, but an option for a simple list would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for a great service to the community.

Long term fan of PSI, but v3 BETA lacks the option of the fine control of v2 so I have had to uninstall it before it did some harm.
In my case - and I'm sure I'm not alone - some of my programs are not installed - they are run as 'Portable Applications' and I suspect an automatic update will not be able to respect that.

I'm living in the hope that the release version of v3 will have this super-simplified interface as one option - but I won't be able to install it if it's the only option.
